All tenants should be well versed on housekeeping and maintenance of their rental. Keeping your rental bug and garbage free requires regular cleaning habits.
Do:
- dishes at least once a day
- pick up after yourself and dispose of garbage regularly
- keep all garbage and recycling outside in proper bins
- if you make mess clean it up
Don’t:
- forget to clean up after your pets (cat litter and pet waste can cause serious health and air quality issues)
- forget to vacuum your furnace vents
- forget to check your furnace filter regularly
- wait to report signs of pests to your landlord.
